Bianca Hutson – Head Coach Gowan Football

Bianca Hutson has been our Head Co1ach of the Gowan Football Academy since she arrived at Stretton State College in 2015. She was introduced to soccer in her first year of high school at the age of 12 and took a keen liking to the sport. She established herself as a defender making representative teams for South Coast School Girls, both the Gold Coast Youth and Open Women’s teams and Queensland squads. After completing high school Bianca had the opportunity to train at the QAS for 6 months giving her an insight into the life of an elite athlete.

The team had a lot of success going through the state titles undefeated with 11 out of the 15 girls selected into the Queensland Squad. It was from here that the desire to purse coaching and youth development was ignited. Bianca transitioned from player to coach when she started her university degree to become a teacher. In 2014 with the development of the Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) and National Premier League (NPL) Bianca was approached to assist the under 13 girls Palm Beach NPL team. In 2015 she continued with Palm Beach and assisted with both the under 13 and under 15 girls NPL teams and also the boys SAP program. In 2016 she followed the Head Women’s Coach and mentor Gary French to Souths United where she became head coach of the under 15 girls NPL team.

Bianca believes that the key to success is through hard work and dedication and encourages her students to get the most out of each and every opportunity.
