Junior Schools Cup was held over the weekend of October 19-21. This competition is the state volleyball carnival for students in year 7 and 8. Our girls were entered into division 1 for their first Schools Cup and finished top of their pool. After some tough matches, the team finished a galant 6th! Well done girls and thanks to our wonderful parents who came to cheer us on!
In 2018, Sports Awards will be held on the 1st November at The Greek Club in South Brisbane. Certificates will be awarded for the following categories:
- District Representatives
- Met West Representatives
- Queensland Representatives
- Age Champions
- Cluster Champion
Excellence in Sport, Coach of Year and Team of the Year are also announced on this evening.
Nominations for the Excellence in Sport Award are now open. This award is given to students who compete at a high level in sports that are not sanctioned by Queensland School Sport. To download a nomination form please click the link below.

Junior Schools Cup is the last State Volleyball tournament for the Year. It will be held on the Gold Coast from October 19-21.
We will be holding trials on Monday August 27 in the Illaweena hall for Year 7 and 8 Boys and Girls from 3:00pm – 4:00pm.

Metro Finals Round! Our Junior Boys Football, Junior Girls Volleyball and Intermediate Boys and Girls Football teams played in round one of Metro Finals yesterday. Well done to all teams who did remarkably well.
Well done in particular to our Junior Boys and Intermediate Girls Football teams who won their games and have made it through to the next round. Good luck!
Over the weekend our senior girls and intermediate volleyball teams competed in the Volleyball Senior Schools Cup.
Our intermediate boys, consisting mostly of year 9 students were competing against year 11 students and did well to finish 7th in their division.
Our senior girls had a fantastic weekend, winning all games in their pool and finishing in 3rd place, beating Woodcrest State College in their final game. A special mention goes to year 8 student Nikita Frommolt who played with the senior girls!
