All Schools Touch

Stretton’s Touch Academy students have been hard at work preparing for All Schools Touch throughout the year.  Unfortunately, the campaign came to a premature end due to weather.

Thank you to all students, parents and staff for the support of our teams in preparing and participating in our 2018 Queensland All Schools campaign.  We are extremely proud of our academy’s effort in its inaugural year and cannot wait to continue preparations for 2019 Queensland All Schools and 2020 World All Schools.

A special mention must go to our 13 Years Boys team who secured a top eight finish after pool match calculations.  Your dedication to this team has been outstanding throughout the year and it was a privilege to coach you.  Let us not think of what could have been but what is to come boys! – Mr Todd Leavitt

OZ Tag

Our Sports Academy students participated in the QLD All Schools OZ Tag Competition over the weekend of July 27 and 28. For our first tournament, our teams played unbelievably well. After a touch round robin, the boys narrowly missed playing in the finals on count back and the girls went down in the quarterfinals. More impressively, Leilani Tuqiri, Bailee Williams and Xavier Atoa were selected in the QLD merit team from the tournament. Well done everyone.
